The Customer Service Department is open during CMHA—CEI business hours. Our Customer Service Representatives (CSR) are uniquely qualified for their positions. Each CSR has received services from Community Mental Health and is currently in recovery from a mental illness. This journey gives the CSR the ability to understand the challenges of mental illness and to assist others in moving towards recovery. As a Customer Service Representative, the CSR may assist with concerns, community resources, complaints and/or grievances and appeals and provide information about the services that CMHA-CEI has to offer.
The CSRs are Certified Peer Support Specialists and, as such, have been trained and certified through the Michigan Department of Community Health to provide services according to the Medicaid State Plan.
