Community Mental Health offers walk in or call crisis 24 Hours a Day (Walk-in services are for those in immediate crisis and cannot wait for an appointment). Contact Us to get directions to the CMH Building. Crisis services provides crisis intervention, assessment, and screening for voluntary and involuntary psychiatric hospitalization.

Mental Health Crisis
  • WRAP - Wellness Recovery Action Plan - A 16 hour workshop that helps people stay well and also to plan for a crisis. We do action plans for a Daily Maintenance plan, Triggers and an action plan, Early Warning sings and an action plan, When Things are Breaking Down and an action plan and then how to do a Crisis Plan. We pass out notebooks for people to keep.

  • Solutions for Wellness: These are one-day workshop on subjects such as healthy eating, exercise, stress reduction, problem solving, medicatins and numerous other topics regarding mental helth and wellness. These are on-going.

  • Money Smart- This workshop involves help with budgeting and saving, credit use and other topics on money.

  • Mental Health First Aid- This course is an 8 hour workshop that helps people become able to learn the warning signs of mental illness and help someone, especilly in the early stages, to recognize their symptoms and to get help. This help is before appropriate treatment and support can be obtained. We cover such illnesses as Depression, Suicidal behavior, nonsuicidal injury, panic attacks, traumatic events, acute psychosis, substance use disorders and eating disorders. A Certificate must be updated every 3 years.

  • Bullying Puppet Show- Customer Services has a puppet show on bullying that is presented to various audiences, focusing on elementary schools.

  • Consumer Movies- Customer Services hosts a free movie with pop and popcorn in February, April, June, September and November. The movie, date and time will be posted on the calendar of events. Movies are subjected to change.

  • Future: We are working on doing a workshop called "Seeking Safety". This workshop is for people who have suffered some sort of trauma in their lives. This class helps you develop coping strategies and to learn to self-soothe. The details will be forthcoming.
