In 1977, Call Richmond went missing. Twenty years later, he shows up on his sister Re-becca's doorstep suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. Filmed over fourteen years, A Sister's Call captures Rebecca Schaper's brave journey of "bringing her brother back." Throughout this process the Schaper family is forced to confront a dark past and trau-matic events, as well as a growing divide while Rebecca struggles to find balance between caring for the family she helped build and assisting the brother she nearly lost forever. Rebecca Schaper will be present at this event along with a panel of specialists on mental illness from NAMI and Community Mental Health. This event is presented to the public in celebration of the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy signing the Community Mental Health Act. The PUBLIC is invited to attend.
